Kristin Hutson, BA

Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Kristin Graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BA in Marketing. Kristin’s began working in the field in 2009 after she went to school to become an addiction counselor. It is her own recovery journey that ignited the passion she has today to help others that are still suffering.
Over the 8 years, she has held a wide variety of positions which has taught her the “ins and outs” of the treatment industry and prepared her for the opening of Mainstay Recovery. She has worked with clients from all levels of care, as well as those suffering from both substance abuse and mental health.
Kristin feels passionate about helping men and women find their sobriety footing and realizes we all have a different way up the mountain. No two people are the same and they should never be compared to one another. “We should always focus on how far someone has come, never how far we think they should be. It takes many of us different time frames and sometimes different paths to learn new behaviors and patterns, to finally begin healing ourselves and to the relationships with those around us.”
In her free time, Kristin likes to snowboard, scuba dive, travel, hang out at the beach and spend time with family.

Levels of Care:

A treatment facility has 5 “categories” or Levels of Care in which services can be provided. In order to determine the right level of care best suited, an assessment must be completed. These can typically be done over the phone, but may require in person assessment. This assessment will allow us to understand more about you, why you are currently seeking treatment and what your needs are. Once this assessment is complete, we can better guide you to the appropriate level of care for your individual needs.

Detox is usually the first step to recovery when it is medically indicated. Choosing a medically supervised detox can offer the support and comfort needed to ensure a safe and successful experience of removing addictive substances from the body and providing basic medical/psychological stabilization.

Residential Treatment

Residential Treatment takes place in a home-like setting. A team of clinicians will work with you in a residential setting to determine your plan for treatment based on your presenting needs and conditions.  The primary focus will be addressing any underlying causes of alcohol and drug addiction, continuing basic stabilization and beginning to maintain sustained recovery while in intensive treatment.

Partial Hospitalization Programming

Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP) is a nonresidential treatment program that provides diagnostic and treatment services on a level of intensity similar to an inpatient program, but without 24 hour care.
